Top Tips for beginner cooks.

  • Try simple recipes that are not too complicated

  • Learn to cook basic recipes such as a ragu, from which you can make lots of different recipes.

  • Plan meals in advance, this means you will not be deciding what to eat when you are hungry! Or be shopping for food when you are hungry, you will spend so much more!!

  • Cook together. This will make your budget go further and is great for making new friends.

  • Cook extra and freeze. A freezer is great for reducing waste by saving leftovers or cooking double portions to save time.

  • With the average meal deal around £4 making a packed lunch could save over £15 per week by getting organised and making your own.
